The kit for Piet’s Universal I/O Shield.
Fit the resistors and diodes first. (Ensure diodes go in the right way round). We don’t need the 10K resistors
I fitted the connector headers next. If you are fitting an off-board MIDI circuit, add another 4-way header to the lower half of the ‘LCDP’ location on this pcb.
Now add the six film capacitors
Before soldering the headers to Piet’s shield, mount it on top of the Arduino to make sure the pins line up, then solder the two end pins on each header to hold it in place, take the shields apart and solder the rest of the pins.

The coupling capacitor between the input triodes is removed …
… and replaced with this little circuit
Leave the outer leads on the two capacitors long as they’ll be used to connect the board where the coupling capacitor used to be.
