The tables below contain a number of effects files that are for use with the MemBuilder app which you can download here. Please carefully read the MemBuilder User Guide to learn how to use these files.
Briefly:
- Each file provides a single effect.
- The Blue Nebula has 8 effect slots available in MEM2 that you can load any 8 of the following effects into.
- You use the MemBuilder app to assemble the 8 effects you would like to use and save this as a ‘build’ file containing all the information for the 8 effects.
- Then, using the Librarian app, you upload this to your Blue Nebula’s MEM2 bank using the normal ‘Upload DSP’ button. Make sure you upload to MEM2 not MEM1!
To download an effect file to your computer, click the link in the name of the effect. This will open a new tab showing the file on a DropBox page. Click the Download button to download the file to your computer – it will normally be saved to your ‘Downloads’ folder automatically.
I recommend that you create a folder and copy all your MemBuilder files to it to make it easier to find them when using MemBuilder later.

Version 5 effect files now available for download
New ‘Spring / Tremolo’ effect by Mick Taylor (03 December 2021) has been added. This creates the boing or chirp associated with a spring reverb, the tremolo LFO speed range has also been increased for both the slow and fast limits compared to the original BN tremolo.

These files can also be used with the Version 5 Firmware but note that the effects marked as ‘Factory installed’ were all improved and made more accurate in the Version 5 release.

Notes:
- Effects shown as ‘Factory installed’ are as supplied pre-installed in the Blue Nebula by the manufacturer StanleyFX.
- If you have already created some User Patches that use any of the existing ‘factory’ effects in MEM2 then these will now use the new effects that you have just uploaded so obviously they will sound different. Any patches using the effects in MEM1 will not be affected, however.
